IRD SAYS

NO CHEQUES FROM MARCH

Declining cheque use, totalling just 5% of all payments, means the IRD will no longer accept cheques from 1st March 2020, including post dated. There are many ways to pay electronically or in person - find out  here - & read on below about how making the switch to Xero will help.

NOTE: if you have recently received any unexpected mail from IRD, please call us to check first before actioning - we are still seeing clients receive unusual mail in error.

 PROFILE: PENNY KEEBER

Our key senior accountant, Penny Keeber, hails from Whakatane.

She spent 10 years in the deep south of Dunedin and  some time in Whangarei before the Tauranga traffic and our advertisement last year saw her make the move back home.

Penny has well over 20 years accounting experience, through a combination of working in CA firms and as an accountant for commercial firms, as well as accounting involvement in the forestry, orchard and bloodstock racing industries.

Outside of work, Penny is a life-long mad keen horse woman, proven by way of the 7 horses she owns. She is passionate about training young or 'green' horses and attends the odd low level events on weekends.

Penny has a 24 year old daughter, Jessica, who lives in Auckland.
